Description:
This study evaluated the efficiency of integrated report generation (IRG) compared to conventional report dictation (CRD) for myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging in patients with both normal and abnormal scans. The IRG system was embedded within 4D-MSPECT software, designed to automatically import quantitative and semiquantitative results from gated and ungated analyses and generate structured, template-driven reports.

Clinical Relevance:
Embedding structured report generation within cardiac SPECT software streamlines the reporting process, reducing time demands for physicians while maintaining accuracy and completeness. IRG improves workflow efficiency across normal and abnormal studies and allows multi-disciplinary input from technologists and physiologists to further expedite reporting.
