Description:
This study evaluated the efficiency of integrated report generation (IRG) versus conventional report dictation (CRD) for myocardial perfusion SPECT studies in patients with both normal and abnormal scan results. The semi-automated IRG tool, built into cardiac SPECT quantification and display software (4D-MSPECT), enabled structured, on-screen reporting incorporating clinical and imaging data.

Clinical Relevance:
Use of IRG within SPECT quantification and display software significantly reduced total reporting time compared to traditional dictation, for both normal and abnormal myocardial perfusion scans. The structured interface also improved workflow efficiency by allowing simultaneous image review and report entry, supporting faster, more accurate, and standardized interpretations.
