Description:
This work presents a novel conditional wavelet–based partial volume correction (PVC) strategy for region-of-interest (ROI) quantification of PET images using hybrid CT side information.
Clinical Relevance:
INVIA found the extension of 2D MMA to 3D MMA using a 3D a trous decomposition improved the PVC in the more realistic case of 3D blurring.
Our novel modified local scaling coefficient a, together with Conditional Wavelet PVC successfully suppressed MMA artifacts due to structural and contrast mismatch, while providing PVC comparable to MMA in regions of structural agreement.
